A report in a TechRepublic article points out a potential vulnerability in Chrome browsers where visiting certain websites could be recording audio or video without your knowledge. There is a particular type of web page that uses WebRTC code thst can record without the user clicking the record button. As it is now, users are prompted by these websites to allow the recording, but with all of the pop-ups and plugin notifications users are so accustomed to, just clicking OK without actually reading the alert can open you and your computer up to recording. The real issue is that there is no indication on the webpage that it is currently recording anything.
Also note that this is only affecting Chrome browsers.
